What Chapters Do
A UCF chapter is where citizens gather to build together. Not members. Not supporters. Citizens - people who've taken full responsibility for where we are and committed to building something better.
Chapters are family. Actual relationships with people who have your back. When one of us steps away from corrupt systems, we provide the support that makes it possible. When one of us needs help, we show up.

What It Means to Be a Citizen
A UCF citizen understands that the world is as it is because of our complacency. Not theirs. Ours. We allowed this by being too comfortable, too distracted, too dependent to resist.
Citizenship means taking full responsibility for that. Not blaming systems or politicians or corruption - recognizing that you let it happen and committing to do something about it.
This starts with transforming yourself. You can't build something better while being the same person who let things get this bad. The work is internal first - mastering yourself, becoming someone capable of creating rather than just reacting.
Citizens don't wait for permission. They see what needs to be done and do it. Not as heroes. Not fighting evil. Just responding to what's necessary with clarity and commitment.
You don't have to be perfect to become a citizen. You don't have to have it all figured out. But you need to be willing. Once you commit to this work, you become choiceless. You do what needs to be done regardless of odds, regardless of obstacles, regardless of how long it takes.
Be the solution or stay out of the way.

Protecting our people and our operations. Digital security, physical awareness, threat assessment. Keeping each other safe.
Mutual Support
Being there when it counts. Housing, resources, assistance for those taking risks to leave corrupt systems. A real safety net.

Utah Chapter - Founding Chapter
Why Utah? Simply because this is where we are. Someone has to go first.
The Utah chapter is the founding chapter. We're building the systems, testing the frameworks, making the mistakes, and documenting what works so future chapters don't have to figure it all out from scratch.
This is where we prove the model works with real people doing real work.

The Process
There's a process to joining that involves initial contact, reviewing the preparation materials, demonstrating seriousness, and in-person meetings. This isn't gatekeeping for its own sake - it's making sure we're building with people who are actually ready, and that everyone involved is protected.
